I make jokes about Russian bread lines all the time.  If someone makes and anti-American comment, I’ll say something super witty like “Yeah?  Well I hope you have to wait in line for bread one day, HAHA!  Love it or leave it, ya wing-nut! LOL!”.  It makee me sound really smart.  And patriotic.  Here’s a picture of a Russian bread line.

The video above is from the 1990 grand opening of Russia’s first McDonals.  It had 28 cash registers and could seat 700 people.  They served 30,000 people who waited in a line that stretched a few miles.  30 THOUSAND people.  A line that was MILES long.  MILES.  That, friends, is no joke.
